SCART Dog Wash 2009 !

Derrick, Laurie & K-9 Ranger went to the Sedgwick County Animal Response Team Dog Wash in July ! Scart Teams are local networks of government, non-profit organizations, businesses, livestock producers, and individual volunteers dedicated to preparing, planning, responding and recovering during animal emergencies.

Dr. Christen Skaer is the local Director of the Sedgwick Co. Animal Response Team. Laurie and I first met Dr. Skaer at the Greensburg Tornado. Dr. Skaer came to Greensburg with most of her staff to care for all of the Search & Rescue Dogs working the tornado and to ensure the safety and welfare of the many animals effected by the disaster. She personally treated Ranger and Laurie's SAR Dog, Recon.
